Pepper will release their long-awaited, self-titled album on September 3rd via Law/Island Records. Pepper is the band's sixth studio album and first since 2008's Pink Crustaceans and Good Vibrations.
Formed in 1997 in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, vocalist/bassist Bret Bollinger, vocalist/guitarist Kaleo Wassman and drummer Yesod Williams, released five albums before pressing pause and taking a break. However, after releasing the 2010 EP Stitches, the band was ready to get back in the studio and start recording. "It's the hardest thing we've ever done as a band to make this record," says Kaleo, "It speaks loudly and widely to a broader audience while maintaining everything good about the band." Pepper has opened a new chapter in their storied career with this self-titled album and is excited to finally share it. Yesod sums it up by saying, "I think it's an album that can appeal to everyone, as well. We've been pigeonholed in the past so this is an opportunity to transcend all that and spread our wings even wider."
Pepper can be pre-ordered on iTunes and through the band's official website.
The album is headlined by the single "F**k Around (All Night)."
The band just released a second single off the album, "Hunny Girl", which premiered on Diffuser.fm. The track is available for instant download with iTunes pre-order of the album.
In support of the album, Pepper will also be kicking off a national tour in Tucson, AZ on September 3rd, supported by RDGLDGRN and Grieves. The tour will conclude in San Diego on October 18th.

Heaven & Earth (guitarist Stuart Smith, singer Joe Retta, drummer Richie Onori, and keyboardist Arlan Schierbaum) have just released a video for their second single and power ballad, "I Don't Know What Love Is" from their critically acclaimed album Dig (Quarto Valley Records), which is available on iTunes now. The video -- directed by Glen Wexler (Van Halen, Black Sabbath,ig Michael Jackson) and produced by Jeremy Alter and Meiert Avis of Pusher Media (U2, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, and Evanescence)--was exclusively premiered on www.guitarplayer.com and www.melodicrock.com this past Friday (July 26th).
The video -- featuring special guest appearances by actors Angelina Vitale, Derek DuChesne and Tiffany Phillips -- continues the story of two lovers trying to connect throughout time. "I Don't Know What Love Is" is the follow-up to the success of Heaven & Earth's first video for "No Money, No Love," which has received more than 500,000 plays to date and can be viewed here.
Says guitarist Stuart Smith, "I'm very proud of both the song and this new video by Glen Wexler. We released 'No Money, No Love' as the first single and video as we wanted to establish ourselves as a rock band that does the occasional ballad, not a ballad band that does the occasional rock song. For me "I Don't Know What Love Is" was always the main hit from Dig."

Long Forgotten Songs: B-Sides & Covers 2000 – 2013 will include songs from Rise Against's career, starting before they signed with Fat Wreck Chords, that did not end up on any of their studio albums. See below for final track listing for Long Forgotten Songs: B-Sides & Covers 2000 – 2013.
"The songs on this record are different versions of existing Rise Against songs, covers, or originals that never made it on a record for some reason," says lead singer Tim McIlrath. "Common wisdom tells us that the reason is that a B-side is just a song not good enough to make the cut. While I think that logic can apply sometimes, I think it's short-sighted. See, the songs that really aren't good enough, you'll never hear. They never make it outside of our practice space. If we finish a song, bring it to the studio, write lyrics, and see it to fruition, then it becomes one of the children that make up a family of songs. If we weren't proud of it, it would have been scrapped along the way."
"We have fast songs and slow songs and political songs. We have personal songs and dark songs and positive songs. We aim for balance on each record. Every song is like one of our children; some just get orphaned. The songs are the lost children of Rise Against."
Rise Against released their sixth studio album Endgame in 2011 where it debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The set included top 5 radio singles "Help Is On The Way," "Make It Stop (September's Children)" and "Satellite." Three of the band's previous albums, 2004's Siren Song of the Counter Culture, 2006's The Sufferer & The Witness and 2008's Appeal To Reason have been RIAA-certified gold.
