Eve To Adam, often abbreviated “ETA”, is an anthemic, guitar driven hard rock band based in New York City. In 1998, Taki Sassaris and his brother Alex signed with songsmith Desmond Child's production company. Child had plans to groom the band to be pop stars that would perform his material, but that concept didn't sit well with Taki. After writing numerous songs with Child, the brothers left his company and moved to New York in hopes of completing the band. In 1999, Taki and Alex discovered guitar virtuoso Gaurav Bali and the three remain the core of Eve To Adam to this day. Later that year, without so much as an album to back them up, the group toured with Motley Crue on the Maximum Rock tour. The year was not without turmoil, though. They had signed to a division of Warner Bros music called Mystic Music and were working on their debut CD when problems developed with financing. After conquering their first major crisis, Eve To Adam released its well reviewed debut album, Auburn Slip in July 2001 on their own Mikendra Records label. They toured extensively in the Eastern half of the United States for the next two years and in November 2003 issued a second release, "Antidote", an enhanced-CD, featuring footage of unplugged performances and dynamic, electric performances.
In late 2006, the Sassaris brothers and Bali loaded up a van and drove cross-country to Los Angeles. For two months, the band shared one hotel room while they recorded their third album — Queens To Eden — with producers Paul Lani and Sean E. Demott. The disc was released in June 2007 and the New York City quartet opened for Daughtry, doing 54 sold out shows on Daughtry’s first national headlining tour. In 2007, Eve to Adam completed a tour regimen of 112 concerts, doing shows and touring with Saliva, 3 Doors Down, Crossfade, Smile Empty Soul, The Exies, Tesla and 12 Stones, respectively. Queens to Eden has sold more than 10,000 digital copies, 10,000 hard copies and 10,000 digital singles. With an ever-increasing fan base on the rise, the band was once again on the road in 2008 to support their active radio hits “Gift” and “151” as well as their most successful single, the anthem for the U.S. armed services, "Comin' Home (A Stranger)". With new management, label and bass player Eric Bergmann, a reinvigorated Eve to Adam is currently in the studio creating and recording their finest work to date. The new album Banquet For a Starving Dog will be distributed by Universal Music Group and is scheduled to be released on August 23, 2011. Also in the summer of 2011, Eve to Adam will be doing a national tour in support of their new release. |
