Capitol and Reprise Records have teamed up to release the new collection Sinatra: Best of the Best, a new CD featuring 23 of his greatest hits from both labels, and a deluxe edition which includes a DVD of never-before-seen concert footage. Both the single-disc and deluxe edition packages are available in stores and for download from all digital retailers, just in time for the holidays (iTunes / Amazon).
The chronological collection, which includes special commentary from Frank Sinatra Jr., leads with 1953's "I've Got The World On A String, followed by 12 additional classic Capitol recordings such as "Come Fly With Me" and "Love and Marriage." The 10 additional Reprise recordings (the label founded by Sinatra in 1960) include "The Way You Look Tonight," "Fly Me To The Moon," and "My Way." Best of the Best's 2-CD version adds a previously out-of-print and sought-after Seattle concert recording, and is packaged in a lift-top box with an expanded booklet and 6 postcards. Sinatra recorded over 1,500 songs and starred in around 60 movies over his legendary, six decade career.
