KIDinaKORNER/Interscope Records artists Imagine Dragons have been tapped by MTV as its PUSH artist of the week for April 16th. Throughout the week, MTV will feature exclusive content including the premiere of the Las Vegas band's new video for their current single "It's Time" across all of its television and digital platforms. "It's Time" is rocketing up the Alternative Rock radio chart where it is currently positioned at No. 14. The track is the first single off Imagine Dragons latest EP Continued Silence, which is currently No. 6 on Soundscan's Alternative New Artist Albums chart (iTunes).
"Any time I hear music, I also see visuals in my mind," says Imagine Dragons' lead singer Dan Reynolds of the video, which was shot on a dry lake bed in Barstow, CA. "'It's Time' is an emotional song that was written at a very transitional period of my life. I've always loved conceptual videos that leave room for the viewer room to interpret it in a way that is most personal to them. That is what we tried to do with this video. The director had a great vision for representing the song's meaning in a subtle way. We wanted the video to be cinematic and true to the song." Imagine Dragons are out on the road with The Jezabels throughout April and May, with a number of sold-out shows throughout the country. Friday April 6, 2012
